Straight answers about split systems in the Central West.
How long does a split system install take?
Most back-to-back installs, where the outdoor unit sits on the other side of the wall from the indoor head, are done in half a day. Longer pipe runs, second storeys or a switchboard upgrade add time. Luke tells you on the quote visit.
What size split system do I need?
It depends on the room size, ceiling height, insulation, windows and which way the room faces. Out here it also has to heat well on frosty mornings, so Luke measures up on site rather than guessing from a brochure.
Is a split system good for heating in a Bathurst winter?
Yes. A modern reverse-cycle inverter split is one of the cheapest ways to heat a room. The key is choosing a unit rated to keep heating efficiently when it's cold outside.
How often should my aircon be serviced?
Once a year is a good rule for most homes, ideally before summer or winter. Units in rentals, motels or busy rooms may need it more often. Between services, rinse the indoor filters every few weeks when it's running a lot.
Why is my aircon not cooling or heating properly?
The usual causes are blocked filters, a dirty coil, low refrigerant from a leak, an iced-up outdoor unit, or a faulty sensor or board. Book a repair and Luke will find the cause rather than just topping up gas.
Why is my split system leaking water inside?
Usually a blocked or kinked drain line, or a dirty coil and drip tray. It's a quick fix, and worth doing early before it marks the wall or ceiling.
Do you service units you didn't install?
Yes. We repair and service all major split system brands, whoever installed them.
Do you work with property managers and landlords?
Yes. We arrange access with the tenant, send photos and a job report after each visit, and invoice the agency or owner directly.
Can you service hotel or motel rooms without disrupting guests?
Yes. We work room by room between checkout and check-in, and can quote the whole property in one go.
Do you install ducted systems?
No. We specialise in split systems only.
How does "we'll beat any quote" work?
Show Luke a current written quote from another licensed installer for the same unit and the same job. He'll beat it. It has to be like for like: same brand and capacity, same install type, same inclusions.
Can I really get a same-day quote?
Often, yes. Book before midday and Luke will try to get to you that afternoon. It depends on where you are and how busy the day is, and he'll text you to confirm a time either way.
